Abstract:

On 10 August 2007, during a brief search for leaf mines on Acer campestre, three mines of Ectoedemia louisella (Sircom, 1849) were found on the Campus "Drie Eiken" of the Antwerp University. This is the first record of this species for Belgium. By the end of August the species was found in all Belgian provinces, and on the 1st of September 1 specimen was reared.
