Abstract: | A small collection of Microlepidoptera made by A. E. Eaton in Portugal in 1880 with specimens determined by H. T. Stainton has been re-examined. Sixty-one specimens belong to 43 species including one which cannot be safely named. Sixteen species mentioned by Stainton are misidentifications and 12 of these must be deleted from the Portuguese faunal list.
