Abstract:

This series of papers entitled "Remarkable finds of Microlepidoptera in Sweden" is continued for the 12th yr. Except for a warm period in May, most of the collecting season was characterized by unfavorable weather. Two species were found new to Sweden in 1984, Plutella haasi Stgr. and Trifurcula eurema Tutt. Five species, Scoparia sp., Pseudatemelia subochreella Dbld., Monochroa sp., Coleophora paradrymidis Toll and Stigmella zelleri Sn., are recorded for the 1st time in Sweden although they have been collected earlier. The synonymization of S. lapprovimella Svn. is rejected. At present, 1656 spp. of microlepidoptera are known from Sweden. Additionally, some other interesting species are dealt with. In a separate section, species new to Swedish provinces are listed. As before, the classification of Catalogus Insectorum Sueciae, Microlepidoptera, is followed with some modernization of names.
