Ozadelpha, a noun. The name is based on a combination of the Greek adelphe (αδελφε), meaning sister with the colloquial abbreviation “Oz” as often used for Australia. This to indicate the sister group relationship between Ozadelpha and the Australian clade, formerly the subfamily Pectinivalvinae. The name is to be treated as feminine.
